Hot melt adhesive granulesIn winter, it becomes brittle and prone to breakage when used on machines, usually not because the glue is “broken”, but because the hardness and brittleness of the glue particles increase at low temperatures, the humidity in the workshop is low, or the glue particles are damp and repeatedly frozen and thawed. Identifying the root cause and adjusting storage and process parameters can significantly alleviate the issue.
Store the hot melt adhesive particles in a dry and ventilated warehouse at a temperature above 15 ℃, and use them up as soon as possible after opening or seal them for moisture regain; Before starting the machine, increase the temperature of the glue by 2-5 ℃ and ensure that the glue tank remains at a constant temperature. Products with stable quality control, such as Sunlife hot melt adhesive, have uniform particle size, low moisture content, and a lower probability of breakage in winter.
Q: Can the broken rubber particles still be used?A small amount of debris can be melted and used normally, but if the whole batch is brittle and the color turns white, it is recommended to test a small sample first before measuring.
