The edge wrapping process for hardcover book cases requires very strict requirements for hot melt adhesive particles: the adhesive layer should be thin and uniform, bend without breaking, and not overflow after curing. The SL-168 soft type performs best in thin cardboard edging scenarios, with flexible bending and no glue overflow, suitable for light loading books and notebooks. The SL-268 universal type is a universal choice for Wanjinyou and is suitable for most 2mm thick cardboard. SL-368 high viscosity type is suitable for thick hard shell books, but attention should be paid to glue overflow at the bending point.
Q: What is the appropriate thickness for the edge wrapping adhesive layer?
A: It is recommended to apply a thin coating of 0.1-0.2mm, as excessive thickness can lead to adhesive overflow and increase the risk of cracking during bending.
Q: How to deal with the exposed glue marks after edge wrapping?
