What are the hot melt adhesives for filters? An air filter is a component used to purify the air. Filters are generally used in farms, laboratories, sterile rooms, car engines, car air conditioners, household air conditioners, household air purifiers, etc.
1、 Hot melt adhesive for flat filter
The commonly used filter element is a high-efficiency filter made of fiberglass. We also refer to it as a planar filter or plane filter. The adhesive part is the part of the adhesive line in the middle, usually called the folded line adhesive. This part of the glue is automatically applied by the machine. This type of hot melt adhesive particles generally uses EVA type fast drying hot melt adhesive particles or APAO type fast drying polyolefin hot melt adhesive particles. The filter element that requires bonding must have toughness, and the adhesive line in the middle must not break or bond. The black part on the outside is made of sponge or plastic, which is glued on with a hot melt adhesive stick.
2、 Activated carbon filter hot melt adhesive
Activated carbon filter element, this filter element needs to be adhered to a black rubber shell and sponge. Generally, hot melt adhesive with high viscosity can be used without special requirements.
3、 Hot melt adhesive for cylindrical filters
This cylindrical filter is almost identical to a flat filter, requiring folding and rolling into a cylindrical shape, which requires the high tension performance of the filter’s hot melt adhesive. Generally, applying glue after nitrogen foaming can greatly reduce the amount of glue used. Generally, it is APAO polyolefin hot melt adhesive particles.
Some cylindrical filters are sealed with black non-woven fabric edges, which can be directly sealed with ordinary hot melt glue sticks or hot melt glue particles, while others are sealed with plastic covers, usually made of ABS material or PP material. This requires polyolefin hot melt adhesive rods or particles with good viscosity. But the temperature should not be too high to avoid burning out the plastic cover.
4. No Line FilterHot Melt Adhesive
This type of filter is usually very sticky. Hand glue guns can use regular hot melt glue sticks or regular models of hot melt glue balls.
