Henkel, the world’s leading adhesive manufacturer, announced a price increase for its products starting from June 30

It was recently learned that Henkel General Industries’ Manufacturing and Maintenance business Unit will increase product prices starting from June 30, 2024. For new orders and existing orders after June 30, the adjusted new prices will be applied.


Henkel’s reason for adjusting the product prices this time is that due to the continuous impact of energy prices, environmental protection costs and logistics costs, it has to reflect the increase in some supply chain costs in the pricing.


Henkel, a German company, is a global leader in adhesive technology with a history of over 140 years. Its business covers Europe, North America, the Asia-Pacific region and Latin America, and it produces and operates more than 10,000 types of consumer and industrial products in nearly 75 countries. Henkel’s business areas: Henkel Adhesive Technology, Henkel consumer brands. The adhesive business was the first to enter the Chinese market. Its products are widely used in general industry, civil adhesives, industrial adhesives, the automotive industry, the metal industry, aerospace business and electronic business, providing globally uniform quality products and tailor-made comprehensive process solutions for global customers all over the world. In 2023, Henkel Group’s sales reached 21.514 billion euros (approximately 169.551 billion yuan), among which the sales of its adhesive technology business for the entire year were 1.079 billion euros (approximately 84.249 billion yuan).

      Before Henkel announced the price increase of its products this time, another global adhesive giant, Bostik, announced that starting from April 15, 2024, it would raise prices accordingly in accordance with the terms and commitments of its adhesive (hot melt adhesive, hot melt pressure-sensitive adhesive and water-based adhesive technology) contracts in the disposable hygiene products market and the paper packaging market. The reason for the price adjustment is also the result of the increase in manufacturing and transportation costs.
