The types of hot melt adhesive include: ethylene vinyl acetate (EVA) adhesive
Ethylene vinyl acetate (EVA) is a polymer based material used for standard packaging of industrial hot melt adhesives. EVA produces high-performance and highly competitive packaging hot melt additives. Ethylene vinyl acetate is considered the primary choice for many applications as it offers one of the largest performance ranges among all currently available applications. Ethylene vinyl acetate can function in both traditional and low-temperature hot melt adhesives.
Polyethylene is a polymer substrate suitable for pallet sealing and cardboard box applications. These adhesives have an extremely low odor, light color, and are easy to peel off from metal surfaces, making them easy to clean. Polyethylene is not suitable for bonding substrates, therefore it is suitable for use at traditional application temperatures.
Metallocene polymers have existed for decades. They combine with other components to provide great stability forhot melt adhesiveproducts. They provide storage temperature intensity in both hot and cold conditions. They have become the fastest-growing polymer base. Metallocene minimizes the decomposition caused by thermal exposure and reduces carbonization, while expanding the cold and hot bonding properties. Some of the products available today contain metallocenes in their adhesives; However, many variants with different stability, price points, and bond performance are different from the original product.
Amorphous poly (alpha olefin) (APAO) is mainly used in areas with long working hours or where it needs to be bonded to plastics. These types of adhesives have a sticky, soft, and very flexible texture. This makes them a very good choice for assembling products, including adding foam for corrugated packaging protection and bonding corrugated plastic containers.
Polyamide adhesives are excellent in places where high temperature resistance is required. They are also useful in situations where rapid assembly strength, solvent and oil resistance are required. Polyamide is considered an excellent choice for wood, filters, and other applications that require high performance. Polyamide requires extreme temperature applications of approximately 400 ° F (204 ° C). However, like other types of adhesives, they do not exhibit significant stability when heated.
EVA polymer hot melt adhesive is solvent-free, anhydrous, and 100% solid meltable. Main ingredients: resin, adhesive, viscosity modifier, antioxidant, etc. Fischer Tropsch wax is used as a viscosity modifier in the production of EVA hot melt adhesive, mainly to reduce the viscosity of the polymer and increase its flowability. The role and key elements of bookbinding adhesive in binding are the key to the quality of bookbinding! Hot melt adhesive becomes brittle when cooled, the back adhesive layer is not smooth, and insufficient penetration of the adhesive liquid leads to non stick properties. These are the issues that most books and publications face when […]
What are the advantages and characteristics of hot melt adhesive for handbag in terms of performance? At present, the function and application of adhesives have received widespread attention, but the environmental issues of adhesives are generally easily overlooked. Whether environmental protection has become a key issue for the further development prospects of adhesives, and solving […]
Hot melt adhesive granule packaging is used for sealing cartons with various substrates and coated surfaces. Compared with traditional hot melt glue sticks, there are many advantages to using hot melt glue particles. It has no unpleasant smell, creating a perfect working environment. To prevent carbonization and gelation effects, thereby eliminating problems such as glue […]
