Yes, but it depends on the particle type and usage method. PET (polyethylene terephthalate) film has low surface energy and weak polarity, and ordinary EVA hot melt adhesive particles are prone to “false adhesion” and easy to peel off when directly adhered. To firmly adhere PET, a specialized formula for low surface treatment or a primer (treatment agent) is usually selected.
It is not recommended to directly apply PET to EVA particles used for ordinary books, magazines, and packaging. Sunlife hot melt adhesive has modified or PO particles specifically for low surface energy materials, which have better wetting properties for PET, PP, and PE; Before starting the machine, perform corona or flame treatment on the film to further enhance its adhesive strength.
