EVA hot melt adhesive is a type of plastic adhesive product. The physical state of hot melt adhesive changes with temperature within a certain temperature range, but its chemical properties remain unchanged. Hot melt adhesive is non-toxic and odorless. How much do you know about the six major ways of applying hot melt adhesive?

1. Spiral spray adhesive
This is a relatively common way of spraying glue. EVA hot melt adhesive is discharged from a nozzle with fine nozzle holes onto regular spiral filaments by external air pressure. Applying glue in this way can significantly reduce the amount of glue used per unit area.
2. Roller coating
The molten EVA hot melt adhesive is conveyed to the rotating adhesive tank. The gluing roller rotates inside the tank, and the molten hot melt adhesive on the gluing roller is evenly scraped with a scraper. The product comes into contact with the rotating adhesive roller and is evenly coated. This gluing method is mainly used for fabric coating lamination, sheet gluing, etc.

This is a relatively common way of grasping. After passing through the heated throat, the molten hot melt adhesive is evenly distributed in the guiding channels of the mold, and then extruded from the mold lip with preset adhesive film thickness and width. Most industrial hot melt tapes and labels are bonded using the mold scraper process.

In some special application scenarios, to achieve buffering or shock absorption effects and reduce the amount of adhesive used, a dedicated foaming melt adhesive machine can be employed to mechanically mix nitrogen into the molten hot melt adhesive, thereby forming the inflation of EVA hot melt adhesive. Then the mechanically foamed hot melt adhesive is applied to the workpiece through a nozzle. Foam coating technology has been widely used in the assembly of automotive parts to replace traditional rubber gaskets.
5. Stripping the glue
Similar to dispensing, this process can be used when two substrates only need to be bonded in strips. Common applications include the edges of plastic boxes such as PET curtain boxes, wine bottle boxes, and cosmetic boxes.
6. Dispensing
When two objects only need to be partially joined, dispensing is a relatively economical and fast simple process. Dispensing is usually used for folding cartons or cardboard binding.
