EVA hot melt adhesive material is a thermoplastic adhesive that is very different from ordinary cold glue. According to its characteristics, the following points must be grasped and paid attention to during use:
1、 Understand and master the various models and technical performance (parameters) of EVA hot melt adhesive. Different types of hot melt adhesives have different opening, curing, and cooling times. Due to regional differences, it is necessary to distinguish the appropriate usage period of summer glue and winter glue. When the temperature is different, the opening and curing time will also change.
2、 To avoid direct heating when using EVA hot melt adhesive, it is necessary to use an isolated oil bath (boiling point should be 100 ℃) or a sealed electric heating plate heating device for heating.
3、 Solid EVA hot melt adhesive must be preheated to standard before use, and then released into the adhesive pot for bonding. The preheating time is generally 2 hours. During the glue application process, solid glue particles (preheated glue particles) should not be directly mixed into the glue application box to avoid uneven glue temperature, poor fluidity, or incomplete melting of the glue particles and their application on the back of the book. Causing uneven coating or difficult adhesion, affecting the appearance quality of the book.
4、 The amount of glue in the pre formed pot should be controlled appropriately and not too much. Excessive use cannot be used as the adhesive particles melt, causing deterioration and aging, reducing viscosity, and affecting adhesion; Cannot add too little or not enough, causing incomplete melting and affecting normal production.
5、 During the opening of the hot melt adhesive, the bonding process is completed. In case of work stoppage, immediately glue the book clip or remove the book core above the rubber wheel to prevent defective products.
6、 During the long-term maintenance phase of the wireless glue binding machine, the pre forming pot and working glue pot should be turned off to stop the glue wheel from melting and prevent it from deteriorating.
7、 The temperature of the hot melt adhesive pot should be strictly controlled within the range of use. Do not arbitrarily change the temperature of the glue pot. In special circumstances, the maximum tolerance is ± 10 ° C
8. Pre formed pots and working glue pots should be cleaned regularly to ensure the cleanliness of the glue pot and prevent impurities from settling and accumulating inside the glue pot. Glue and affect the accuracy of temperature control. Even the malfunction of the thermostat can lead to the phenomenon of adhesive particle combustion. In normal production operations, clean the preheated glue pot every three months; The working glue pot should be cleaned every half month to ensure smooth processing and prevent carbonization, smoking, and fire. We need to establish a cleaning system for the glue pot, inspect it on time, and implement it seriously.
