The sealing of colored box top and bottom lids (top and bottom lids) is a high-frequency process in the packaging industry, but problems such as lid popping, glue line overflow, and skewed sealing often occur on the production line. Many times nothot melt adhesive pelletsThe quality is not good, it’s just that the glue coating scheme has fallen through.

Many operators are accustomed to applying glue lines to the outermost edge of the folding cover, thinking that the closer it is to the edge, the stronger the adhesion. In fact, applying glue to the edges can cause the glue to overflow outside the box and cause dirt, and the edge cardboard has low strength and is prone to delamination. Correct method: The distance between the adhesive line and the edge of the folding cover should be reduced by 3-5mm.
In order to save glue, some schemes only apply 2-3 dots on the folding tongue of the sky and earth cover. The bonding area of dot coating is only 30% of that of line coating, and the lid is easily popped open when the color box is stacked and transported. Correct method: Apply continuously with a glue line width of 2mm, increasing the amount slightly but doubling the bonding area.
The time from gluing to closing the lid is determined by the rhythm of the automatic packaging line. If the line rhythm is 2 seconds per box and fast curing adhesive particles with an opening time of only 1.5 seconds are selected, the lid will solidify before the adhesive is closed. Correct approach: Measure the closing time accurately and choose a formula with an opening time 1-2 seconds longer than the closing time.
Sunlife hot melt adhesive granules come in two options: fast curing (with an opening time of 2 seconds) and standard (with an opening time of 5 seconds), which can be matched with different rhythm top and bottom packaging lines.
Q: How much glue is suitable for sealing the heaven and earth lid?
A: A sky and earth cover with a single adhesive line length of 30-40cm, with a total of 2-3g of double-sided adhesive coating, can meet the requirements of bonding and transportation.
Q: Is the lid popping open due to too little glue?
A: In most cases, it is a mismatch in the adhesive position or opening time, rather than insufficient adhesive quantity. First investigate the plan and then consider adding glue.
The weather resistance of hot melt adhesive affects its application effect. Hot melt adhesive manufacturers need to adjust the heat resistance of hot melt adhesive according to different application environments to achieve ideal application performance. The heat resistance of hot melt adhesive is closely related to its softening point. Hot melt adhesives with good heat […]
EVA hot melt adhesive has long been a favorite adhesive for customers, and there are good reasons for this. The main assets provided by these multifunctional adhesives are: Capable of bonding impermeable surfaces. The ability to fill in gaps. Easy to store. Environmental protection. The occurrence of wire drawing, back cracking, page dropping, or edge glue overflow in book and magazine binding lines may not necessarily be due to “insufficient glue”. The paper coating, glue temperature, glue amount, milling back quality, and finished product cooling time will all jointly affect the results. This article provides a feasible troubleshooting sequence […]
