What is the reason why EVA hot melt adhesive does not stick? Some time ago, a customer asked us why we couldn’t stick books firmly when bonding. Through this small case, we will answer the question: What is the reason why hot melt adhesive does not stick?
1、 Insufficient use of hot melt adhesive causes delamination or non adhesion: Some manufacturers use less material to save construction costs, and the materials to be bonded are too heavy, resulting in insufficient bonding strength. At this point, simply increasing the amount of glue is sufficient to solve the problem.
2、 Degumming or non sticking caused by incompatibility between hot melt adhesive and materials: Check if the debonding or non sticking is due to incompatibility between the type of hot melt adhesive used and the composite material. Some materials, especially those containing plasticizers, can undergo chemical reactions with hot melt adhesive, affecting its viscosity. If it is caused by material compatibility, simply choose a hot melt adhesive that is compatible with the material. For manufacturers, sampling and testing before mass production are very important!
3. The purchased EVA hot melt adhesive may have quality issues: If it is a quality issue, such as insufficient penetration of the hot melt adhesive, or the hot melt adhesive supplier should be held responsible. When purchasing again, choose a hot melt adhesive manufacturer with strong strength and guaranteed quality
