How to reduce the drawing problem of packaging hot melt adhesive? The manufacturer’s downtime may come at a high cost. Preventing production issues and maintaining production line operation are crucial for brand owners. Threading is a common issue that affects consumer packaging. Reduce the drawing of hot melt packaging adhesive by making some easy to implement changes to three variables (equipment, environment, and adhesive).

Equipment: Check the settings every time the production line is changed
1. Check the position, angle, temperature, nozzle size, and condition
2. Confirm that the nozzle head is not blocked and in good condition
3. Check the distance between the nozzle and the substrate to determine if it can be reduced
4. Check the filter and hose to confirm that there is no accumulation or carbonization
5. Check the solenoid valve and fuel tank pressure
Environment: Environmental temperature and airflow can impactPackaging hot melt adhesive
1. Reduce direct airflow to avoid high viscosity and premature adhesive drying
2. Review the airflow in the production area to ensure that the fans and; HVAC The system will not directly blow towards the application point. This is more critical in applications where the distance between the nozzle and the package is large.
3. Substrate temperature is also a factor
Adhesive: Specific operating parameters are set by the formula
1. Check if the temperature of the hot melt tank is correct. If the hot melt adhesive is too sticky, the temperature may be too low
2. If the applicator and hose are not hot enough, please confirm to set the applicator temperature according to the recommended operating instructions, and then the adhesive will start to cool when moving from the can to the applicator
3. Confirm with the adhesive supplier that the correct adhesive has been used in the application. Some adhesives are easier to draw than others.
What are the uses of hot melt adhesive? In recent years, with the rapid development of e-commerce, logistics, packaging, labeling and other related industries have also experienced significant growth. The labeling industry and adhesive industry are driven by these industries and are areas that people see, use, and come into contact with every day. But […]
Direct answer:Hot melt adhesive particles belong to thermoplastic materials and can theoretically be melted repeatedly, but in most cases, “recycling and reuse” on the production site is not cost-effective or safe. There is only one situation that can be recycled – clean residue that has never been used on the machine and has not been contaminated; […]
The flowability of hot melt adhesive particles has an impact on the quality of glue and adhesive. Hot melt adhesive has poor fluidity and can also cause stretching problems or mismatch with mechanical efficiency. 1. Sol temperature; Hot melt adhesive is very sensitive to temperature, and changes in temperature can alter the structure of the […]
How to solve the problem of EVA hot melt adhesive becoming brittle in winter and cracking in summer? Summer is coming soon, and many new factory owners may not have encountered this problem before. There are also some who have encountered similar problems, but they were solved by our factory arranging technical personnel to help […]
