EVA hot melt adhesive is inexpensive and widely used in the industrial field – but which products are commonly made with hot melt adhesive? The following are the six most common applications in manufacturing:

EVA hot melt adhesive

1)   Quick assembly, recyclable cardboard boxes

The transport packaging industry is a major user of EVA hot melt adhesive seals. Packers and manufacturers use it to form a strong bond on the edges of boxes, envelopes, top seals, lid fillers and product containers inside the boxes.

2)   Binding and printing books and magazines

How can pages in modern publications remain in place without traditional locking lines? Due to the use of the book EVA  Hot melt adhesive enables fully printed books to be bound in a fast, inexpensive and time-tested way. –  None of these will damage the page.

3)   Paste the product label and cover

Sometimes, manufacturers need to affix pre-printed external labels to their packaging boxes or the products themselves. For some products, such as bottles and cans, it is almost impossible to print directly on the surface. Hot melt adhesive can stick strong adhesive labels onto almost any substrate and surface shape.

4) Production of disposable medical supplies for hygiene

Bandage, tampon and medical pad manufacturers often use hot melt adhesives to produce safe, sterile and degradable seals. Precise hot-melt connection helps biomedical experts create seamless, metal-free disposable absorbent products that remain sterile, hygienic and safe for use on human skin.

5)   Stick non-conductive electronic components inside.

One serious problem with sealed electronic devices is that plastic molding and metal need to be combined without the risk of conductive bridging or component separation. Although screws can bridge the gap, EVA hot melt adhesive can also offer assistance. Melted contact seals are used around more delicate circuit boards and machine cladding to create layered “layers” to save space and ensure build strength.

6) Lock the wooden products together

When it comes to wood products, screws and locking joints are not the only options on the market. Special grade molten hot melt adhesives can produce durable and long-lasting bonds, sealing parts together or reinforcing existing wood products, thereby enhancing the integrity of finished wood chips.
