The edge wrapping process for hardcover book cases requires very strict requirements for hot melt adhesive particles: the adhesive layer should be thin and uniform, bend without breaking, and not overflow after curing. Guangzhou Sunlife Trading has provided three commonly used models for this scenario, and we have conducted systematic testing and comparison.

The SL-168 soft type performs best in thin cardboard edging scenarios, with flexible bending and no glue overflow, suitable for light loading books and notebooks. The SL-268 universal type is a universal choice for Wanjinyou and is suitable for most 2mm thick cardboard. SL-368 high viscosity type is suitable for thick hard shell books, but attention should be paid to glue overflow at the bending point.
Q: What is the appropriate thickness for the edge wrapping adhesive layer?
A: It is recommended to apply a thin coating of 0.1-0.2mm, as excessive thickness can lead to adhesive overflow and increase the risk of cracking during bending.
Q: How to deal with the exposed glue marks after edge wrapping?
A: Choose light colored or transparent hot melt adhesive particles. Sunlife hot melt adhesive particles come in two color schemes, white and light yellow, for a cleaner visual experience.
