Use 1/8-inch rubber beads about 1/2 inch away from the edge of the flap to make durable cartons. Need extra high intensity? Use double beads. Apply the double beads easily with a T-shaped nozzle. Having T-shaped nozzles is the most effective way to lay double beads and can provide you with the same result every time. However, if additional strength is needed, you can use a standard nozzle and place two beads.
Hot melt adhesive enables you to make cartons easy to open in multiple ways without sacrificing good sealing performance. These methods can easily reuse cartons. We suggest using 1/8″ beads to maintain the strength of the carton. You can also use 1/16″ beads, but it will reduce the strength of the carton.
The best effect can be achieved by placing 1/8″ beads on the front and three sides, or you can lay out double beads. For single-bead applications on FOL cartons, we find the L nozzle very convenient. If two beads are needed, using a T-shaped nozzle is the simplest.
Upgrading your batch dispensing system to include hot melt dispensing and sewing systems can save you a significant amount of money. Traditionally, hot melt adhesives are used to seal packaging with solid line dots, but this innovative process can be applied with a series of dots and line dots, typically using 50% less glue.
The upgrade package can be installed within three hours without the need for new tanks or nozzles, and it enables more reliable and long-lasting dispensing.
