Industrial hot melt adhesives are used in applications formulated for specific purposes in each industry. There are all kinds of dispensing machines, glue sticks and hot melt glue particles, all of which are designed for specific applications. There are differences among various hot melt adhesives in terms of color, viscosity, heating temperature, raw materials and curing time.

Hot melt adhesives are defined as adhesives that melt and flow when heated and solidify when cooled to provide strong adhesion. Depending on the application and the material to be bonded, they are applied in a molten state within the temperature range of 120 °C to 180 °C. Hot melt adhesives are multi-polymer adhesives that allow for the adjustment of certain properties by mixing two or more polymers and additives.
Why use hot melt adhesive instead of solvent-based adhesive? There are several advantages.
Industrial applications of hot melt adhesives:
Textiles (h6)
Footwear
Electronic products
Some hot melt adhesives may come in various shapes, sizes and formulations. Some are suitable for substrates that are difficult to bond, such as glass and metal. These require high temperatures to function properly. For instance, the small wick candles you see in glass containers at Christmas might be made of hot melt adhesive between glass and metal. The wick is connected to the zinc plate at the bottom of the container. The required hot melt adhesive can quickly and effectively fix the wick to the bottom of the glass through a metal plate, so that the hot candle wax can be poured into the container. The wick must not move. For specific applications, a certain time window is required, neither too long nor too short.
Answer directly The material of the notebook case (PU or imitation leather) is different from that of the inner pages (cardboard), and the bonding should balance flexibility and strength. Soft glue is resistant to bending and hard glue is firmly attached. Choosing the wrong one can easily cause the glue to peel or the leather […]
Direct answer: For activities such as annual report brochures that require “thick copperplate paper+laminated cover+flat spreading”, the selection of adhesive should focus on 8 parameters – initial adhesion, opening time, softening point, melt viscosity, flexibility, cold resistance, odor level, and color stability. Any non-compliance may expose problems after the delivery of the finished product. Why […]
Hot melt adhesive granulesHow to store without clumping? Hot melt adhesive particles agglomerate, mostly due to moisture, heat, or pressure. As long as the “moisture-proof, heat-resistant, and pressure resistant” measures are in place, the pile will remain dry for several months. Here is a storage list that can be directly followed. Storage List sealingImmediately tie […]
Color does not represent good or bad Many customers see Hot melt adhesive granules If it turns yellow, I’m worried about poor quality. In fact, the color mainly comes from the resin grade and whether anti-oxidation and thickening agents are added, and has no direct relationship with whether it is sticky or not. Where does […]
