Many printing factories believe that books have already been sewn in,hot melt adhesive pelletsJust an auxiliary, just use cheap glue casually. This idea is completely wrong. The requirements for glue in the double process of wire locking and glue installation are actually more special. Please avoid the following three misconceptions.

Q: Is it because the lock thread is broken or the glue has opened when the pages of the book are missing?
A: Both are possible. Open the spine of the book and see: if the stitching is intact but the paper leaves the adhesive layer → adhesive problem; Suture fracture → Locking process or wire problem. In most cases, the adhesive layer fails first, causing stress to transfer to the lock wire.
Q: What type of Sunlife hot melt adhesive particles are used for thread locking glue?
A: Recommend SL-168 (medium viscoelastic type) or SL-268 (universal type), both have good elasticity and moderate adhesive temperature, suitable for double process of wire locking and adhesive installation.
Hot melt adhesive granulesCan PET film be adhered? Yes, but it depends on the particle type and usage method. PET (polyethylene terephthalate) film has low surface energy and weak polarity, and ordinary EVA hot melt adhesive particles are prone to “false adhesion” and easy to peel off when directly adhered. To firmly adhere PET, a […]
Hot melt adhesive is a type of plastic polymer adhesive. Within a certain temperature range, its physical state will change with the temperature. EVA hot melt adhesive is an environmentally friendly chemical product. During use, sometimes hot melt adhesive may be pulled out after melting. What is the reason for drawing hot melt adhesive after […]
What should I do if the hot melt adhesive particles are not firmly attached to the coated paper? Direct answer: The root cause of the poor adhesion of laminated paper is mostly due toLow membrane surface energy, glue not eating paper fibers, poor coordination between opening time and compressionThese three points. The surface of laminated […]
Mechanical anchoring theory:Adhesive must penetrate into the gaps on the surface of the adhered object and eliminate the air adsorbed on its interface in order to produce adhesive effect.. The mechanical theory is very convincing in explaining the bonding of porous materials such as wood and materials with rough surfaces, and has been verified in […]
