The causes of wear include long-term high-temperature operation leading to aging of the roller surface coating, scratches from hard objects, and adhesion and erosion of carbides in the adhesive solution.

Q: Is there a relationship between the wear of the glue roller and the quality of the adhesive particles?
A: It’s related. Colloidal particles with a high amount of carbides will erode the roller surface like sandpaper. Choosing adhesive particles with good thermal stability can significantly extend the lifespan of the roller surface.
Q: How long can the roller surface be used after grinding?
A: Grinding once can extend the service life by 2-3 months, but the coating on the roller surface will gradually become thinner. It is recommended to grind it twice at most and replace it with a new one.
