EVA hot melt adhesiveWhat are they made of and can they be recycled? The difference between biodegradable and bio based packaging follows a global trend where consumers want to produce and purchase more environmentally friendly products.
The awareness and recognition of more environmentally friendly and sustainable packaging materials (such as reusable, biodegradable, etc.) are growing, but for some people, evaluating the impact of adhesives on the sustainable development model of the industry is often confusing and difficult. It is a small yet important component of modern packaging.

Most EVA hot melt adhesive is typically made from a combination of polymers, resins, waxes, and functional additives, making it a thermoplastic. Thermoplastic is a substance that turns into plastic when heated and hardens when cooled, making it easy to recycle, but some eventually become microplastics in marine environments. This is one of the biggest challenges facing the adhesive industry.
EVA hot melt adhesive is an essential part of packaging manufacturing, and most modern recycling and waste management measures ensure that the glue in these materials does not enter the marine environment.
Most hot melt adhesives are not easy to recycle, but their compatibility with recycling is crucial – they must not affect the recycling ability of the bonded products. Some adhesives make this process more difficult, forming a substance commonly known as a “sticky substance” because they can soften and form gelatinous balls during the pulping process, but usually these do not attract much attention and are an acceptable part of the recycling process.
Unused hot melt adhesive can be recycled into similar products, although not always feasible, if the adhesive can be removed from its application surface, it can also be recycled into similar product types. When producinghot melt adhesiveAt that time, there was almost no material waste, and any unused adhesive usually needed to be reprocessed.
In the past few decades, the printing industry has undergone many changes. With the rise of digital media, publishers have changed the way they conduct their business. Although e-books and audiobooks are popular, books have not disappeared and readers around the world still crave them. On demand printing is changing the way the publishing industry […]
Choose packaging hot melt adhesive, focus on the coreAdhesive material, production line speed, environmental requirements, delivery radiusDifferent scenarios correspond to different factories and adhesive types. Below are clear selection directions based on mainstream scenarios. 1、 Ordinary cardboard box/sealed box (universal EVA adhesive, cost-effectiveness priority) Suitable for: regular cardboard box sealing, cardboard box forming, handbag bonding, […]
How to solve the troubleshooting of packaging hot melt adhesive? Hot melt adhesive is some of the most advanced adhesives used today, but even with daily maintenance, adhesive problems can still occur. This guide aims to help manufacturers overcome some of the most common adhesive challenges faced in packaging applications. There may be various reasons […]
For most terminal packaging operations, adhesive carbonization is usually the main cause of most downtime events. Once EVA hot melt adhesive carbonization occurs, it will be difficult to clean thoroughly without taking extreme measures. Even after flushing, charcoal may still stick to narrow corners and continue to cause issues that affect normal operating time and […]
