The weather resistance of hot melt adhesive affects its application effect. Hot melt adhesive manufacturers need to adjust the heat resistance of hot melt adhesive according to different application environments to achieve ideal application performance.

The heat resistance of hot melt adhesive is closely related to its softening point. Hot melt adhesives with good heat resistance generally have a higher softening point. This hot melt adhesive is not easily affected by high temperatures and does not affect the bonding effect. But it does not mean that the softening point needs to be raised. High heat resistance indicates that the hot melt adhesive produced by the hot melt adhesive manufacturer has excellent performance.
Hot melt adhesive is needed in the hot south, but not necessarily in the cold north. Due to the generally cold temperature in the north, hot melt adhesives with good heat resistance have a high softening point, which makes it easy to produce when the optimal performance cannot be achieved during the production process, resulting in the inability of the adhesive liquid and the surface of the adhered material to achieve ideal penetration, ultimately affecting the bonding effect. Moreover, if the penetration of hot melt adhesive into the adhesive is insufficient, in cold weather, hot melt adhesive is generally harder and prone to delamination. Therefore, if using hot melt adhesive in areas with relatively low temperatures, one should choose one with a slightly lower softening point. It doesn’t matter if the heat resistance is poor. Mainly, attention should be paid to the fluidity and permeability of hot melt adhesive during use. Of course, if the product is to be sold to areas with higher temperatures, and the temperature in the hot melt adhesive application area is relatively low, it is necessary to choose hot melt adhesive products with higher heat resistance according to the actual situation.
Corresponding to the heat resistance of hot melt adhesive is its cold resistance. Hot melt adhesive has good heat or cold resistance. Hot melt adhesive manufacturers have segmented hot melt adhesives in their application environments. Heat resistance is generally a performance indicator of hot melt adhesive used in hot weather.
First, give the conclusion The pages of three-dimensional books and flipped books need to be repeatedly folded, and ordinary books and magazines have hard and brittle rubber particles that break when folded. To stick firmly, one must avoid the four misconceptions of “using ordinary glue, applying too thick, pressing too hard, and not trying to […]
Quick print shops often encounter orders with small quantities, multiple sheets, multiple covers, and tight delivery times. A more practical approach than searching for “universal binding glue” is to establish a process for confirmation, trial assembly, and parameter retention before changing orders. This article explains how to reduce rework from daily order taking scenarios. Core […]
hot melt adhesiveWhen the glue pot has burnt particles, uneven glue dispensing, or impurities in the glue line, simply replacing the glue may not solve the problem. This article sorts out the troubleshooting sequence according to “glue pot status, temperature setting, shutdown habits, and glue supply path” to help reduce downtime and material waste in […]
