The performance characteristics of hot melt adhesive for paper packaging: Hot melt adhesive is melted into liquid by a hot melt machine, and then sent to the surface of the carton through the throat and spray gun of the hot melt machine. After cooling, the hot melt adhesive is bonded. It can meet the requirements for sealing cartons and overcome the shortcomings of traditional carton sealing forms.
1. Good packaging quality
Transport cartons must be able to withstand temperature and humidity changes as well as rough handling, but it is difficult to meet this requirement with tape because of its poor adhesive strength, low tensile strength, and poor adhesion to coated or oil-based cardboard.
The hot melt adhesive for paper packaging has good adhesion and strong penetration to damp objects. It simultaneously serves as a physical and chemical adhesive between corrugated paper and corrugated board. The overall strength of the bonded carton is enhanced, and the carton is less likely to deform or crack. In addition, the hot melt adhesive coating system can press the glue onto key parts of various shapes, such as the inner folding pages of cartons.
2 High low-temperature resistance
Secondly, self-adhesive tape has poor low-temperature resistance and is prone to opening in cold climates. Hot melt adhesive has good low-temperature resistance and can withstand a low temperature of -40℃. Moreover, hot melt adhesive has a storage period of up to two years, requires a small storage area, and has no special storage requirements. However, the shelf life of magnetic tapes is only half a year, and they require certain storage conditions; otherwise, they are prone to deterioration.

Hot melt adhesive also offers excellent anti-theft functionality. Because the adhesive will seep into the corrugations, any attempt to open the carton will tear the fibers. The tape can be cut with a knife, and the contents inside will be taken out imperceptibly and resealed.
4 Beautiful Appearance
Nowadays, merchants require that packaging not only convey the product but also convey the product and corporate image through the design of packaging patterns. Therefore, the fewer factors that hinder appearance, the better. Tape often blocks images and interferes with the transmission of packaging information. Sticking hot melt adhesive between the flip boards can provide a larger display space.
5 Low cost
Sealing boxes with hot melt adhesive is fast, and the entire bonding process only takes 1 to 3 seconds to complete. It is suitable for mass production, with low energy consumption and low cost.
Using paper packaging hot melt adhesive, adding adhesive during the processing will not cause the machine to stop. However, replacing the tape requires stopping the machine. Moreover, there is no need to install partitions inside the box, and the sealing strength is greater than that when sealing the partitions inside the box with tape, which can reduce the cost of the partitions.
