By optimizing the EVA hot melt adhesive, the production time and unnecessary equipment maintenance costs during the bonding process of the product have been significantly reduced.
The adhesive clogged by “carbon” (carbon deposits) has caused a considerable amount of production downtime and maintenance costs on the production line. In the hot melt adhesive industry, there is a client who achieved their operational budget target by eliminating the production bottleneck caused by their previous adhesives.

When using traditional hot melt adhesives, the process adhesive machine system is more likely to carbonize over time, even with diligent preventive maintenance. When carbon deposits reach a critical stage, they will clog the gluing machine production line, leading to unsealed packaging and production line shutdown.
Three major methods to significantly reduce the probability of carbonization or eliminate carbonization by choosing hot melt adhesives and hot melt application equipment.
1. Use hot melt adhesives with low application temperatures to reduce heat exposure.
2. Use high-quality and suitable application adhesives that remain stable under typical thermal exposure.
3. Use on-demand melting hot melt application equipment to limit heat exposure.
