How to obtain good performance of hot melt adhesive for books? Your primary task throughout the day is to ensure that everything in the factory runs smoothly and efficiently to achieve high output. Although it is only a small part of the entire process, it includes your hot melt operation.

There are many factors that can affect the performance of hot melt adhesive, but understanding the good practices that each hot melt adhesive user should follow will increase your chances of achieving good results for your application.
Please follow the following 3 A tip to ensure that the hot melt adhesive for books performs well:
1. Apply glue at an appropriate temperature: Temperature is an extremely important variable for the success or failure of hot melt adhesive application in books. If the adhesive is too hot, it will take longer to bond and may lead to a good description of “gum failure” (learn more here). If the temperature of the adhesive is too low, it may solidify prematurely and cause weak bonding. This is called a preset. Follow the manufacturer’s TDS to obtain the recommended application temperature range and make corresponding adjustments.
2. Keep the glue can full: Remember to keep the glue can full during use. When the adhesive level is too low; Hot spots and gel formation may occur, leading to carbonization. If you manually load them, it’s easy to forget to refill the flowerpot. Having an automatic filling system to replenish adhesive as needed and a liquid level control system to monitor adhesive levels will ensure that your tank remains full. This can supplement the antioxidants in the adhesive to combat carbonization.
3. Reduce the pot temperature when not in operation: Due to the continuous thermal stress on the hot melt tank, hose, and nozzle, they have a tendency to produce coke. Reduce the pot temperature when not in use to minimize any potential thermal degradation of the hot melt adhesive and equipment. This will reduce the chance of carbonization occurring.
Functionality and effectiveness What should be considered when choosing environmentally friendly adhesives? Even at home. For example, if you want to repair a cup, you may use adhesive (a type of contact adhesive), but you will use it in your child’s art project; PVA glue, perhaps using double-sided (pressure-sensitive) tape in the scrapbook. For packaging, […]
High temperature resistant hot melt adhesive for books and magazines is mainly based on polyamide resin, so high temperature resistant hot melt adhesive is also known as polyamide hot melt adhesive. Polyamide resin is a linear thermoplastic resin with a large number of repeated amide groups on the molecular main chain. Compared with other thermoplastic […]
If, like many manufacturers, hot melt adhesive on the packaging line may encounter problems, resulting in slower packaging speed, increased costs, and potential product damage or loss. Let’s take a look at the common hot melt adhesive problems that manufacturers face today and explore possible solutions. Problem 1: UsingHot melt adhesiveToo little If your packaging […]
EVA hot melt adhesive, which is brittle in winter and prone to cracking in summer, belongs to the normal characteristics of thermoplastic materials and is not a product quality issue. It is strongly recommended to prioritize adjusting equipment temperature and production processes, and replace seasonal adhesive when the environment is extreme. At the same time, […]
